El Toro
 
Description
El Toro Zoysia is green colored and a medium texture. It is a particularly tolerant to drought conditions, resistant to diseases, and fall army worms. It stands up to wear exceptionally well and is a good choice for both commercial and residential. It can be planted year round from solid sod, however - similar to Tif 419 - sprigging should be performed between April 15 and October 15.

Use: Residential, Commercial, Drought Prone Areas.
 
General Care
Fertilization:
1 1/2 lbs to 2 1/2 lbs. of nitrogen to per 1000 sq ft. twice per year: early spring and August.
Watering:
Water as needed (observe stress or wilting), ensuring that 1/2" of soil beneath the surface is sufficiently soaked.
Mowing:
Needs to be mowed about every 7 to 10 days during the growing season.
Fungicides:
Tolerant to Balan, Betasan, Prowl or Lesco Pre-M and atrazine. Some yellowing may occur using atrazine.
