Centipede
 
Description
Centipede is a medium-textured, stoloniferous, warm season perennial grass with a prostate growth habit and slow vertical shoot growth rate. Centipede grass is typically found in moist, acid, sandy soil with low fertility; therefore it is an excellent low maintenance turfgrass.

Shade Tolerance: Good
Wear Resistance: Fair
Salt Tolerance: Fair
Recovery From Injury: Fair
Winter Color: Moderate Dormancy
Mowing Height: 1-2" Medium
Use: Lawns, Low Maintenance Areas
 
General Care
Fertilization:
Apply 3-2-1(e.g. 15-10-5) ratio in the springtime, and a 3-1-2 ratio in the fall.
Watering:
Water every three days, ensuring that 3/4" of soil beneath the surface is sufficiently soaked.
Mowing:
Needs to be mowed about every 6 to 8 days during the growing season.
Fungicides:
Tolerant to Daconil, Sentinel or Eagle.
